Battersea Befriending Network is affiliated to being alongside/APCMH and has the support of the South West & St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, NHS Wandsworth, Wandsworth Council Social Services and Wandsworth Community Empowerment Network.(WCEN).
Battersea Befriending Network is registered with HMRC as a charity for tax purposes.
Battersea Befriending Network runs at least one training course each year. Volunteers should be over 18 and be prepared to travel to and area within the Borough of Wandsworth to meet the person they will go on to befriend. past or ongoing mental health problems.
The 2017 Summer Event was a fundraising party held at All Saints Church, Battersea. It was a great success with those who attended enjoying wonderful food, a great live jazz trio and an entertaining display by a pair of jugglers! There was also a raffle. The event raised £618.00 for the work of BBN.
